PDF editor

Change the text already in your PDF, in its own font, or add text, white out and redact.

Your files never leave your device. Everything happens in this browser tab. Nothing is uploaded, and closing the tab erases it.

    How it works

    1. Drop the PDF you want to change.
    2. Click a line to edit it, or add text, white out, find and replace, redact.
    3. Press Save PDF. Your original stays untouched.

    Questions

    Is my PDF uploaded anywhere?

No. The editing happens inside your browser, on your device.

Is the old text really gone?

Yes. When you edit or redact a line, Dozo deletes the words from the file itself, then writes the new ones. They are not just covered by a white box, so they can’t be copied or found again.

Does the new text keep the same font?

When the PDF’s font holds every letter you type, yes. PDFs often carry only the letters they use, so for a new letter Dozo writes the line in a look-alike font at the same size and colour, and tells you.

What if my new text is longer?

It can grow up to the page’s right margin, then it is narrowed to fit, down to half its width. Text does not flow onto the next line.

Can I edit a scanned document?

A scan is a picture of a page, so its words can’t be edited. Use White-out to cover a part and Add text to write over it.
